Blue Pearl Khuvgul lake & Mini Gobi Mongolia 5 days tour

This morning, your private guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to the city airport for your flight to Murun, the provincial capital of Khuvsgul. Upon arrival, continue by car towards the spectacular Khuvsgul Lake, often called the Switzerland of Mongolia and known as one of the clearest lakes in Central Asia. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to see their reindeers. You may take photos with the reindeer or even experience a short ride.

Before reaching your ger camp, stop in Khatgal village, located on the southern shore of the lake. Explore the small local market and the main port area before settling into your camp by the lakeshore

This morning, set out to explore Khuvsgul National Park on horseback. Mongolia is renowned as one of the world’s best destinations for horse riding, and Khuvsgul Province offers an especially unforgettable experience amid pristine landscapes. For those seeking other adventures, there are plenty of options: hike along the lakeshore, rent a bike from the camp for a cycling trip, climb a nearby mountain for sweeping views, or even take a boat ride across the crystal-clear waters of the lake. In the evening, drive back to Murun town and spend the night in a well-appointed local hotel.

After breakfast, depart to south through scenic landscapes toward Uran Togoo, one of Mongolia’s most striking extinct volcanoes. Take a hike along the gentle slopes to reach the crater rim, where panoramic views of the volcanic terrain and surrounding grasslands await—a perfect spot for photos and to soak in the natural beauty.

After enjoying lunch along the way, continue your drive to Bulgan town, where you will spend the night in a comfortable local hotel.

This morning we will start our trip to Kharkhorin, a small village, and one of the country's major tourist destinations. Historically once was an ancient capital of Mongol Empire and the most important cities in the history of the Silk Road. On the way visit Ugii, freshwater lake which is 5km wide, 7km long, and surrounded by a steppe natural zone. The lake has lots of water birds and fish including perches and pikes for fishing. Upon arrival, we will visit the museum of Karakorum and learn more about the Mongolian history. Continue the guided tour to the magnificent and the oldest Buddhist Monastery of Erdenezuu.

After breakfast, continue your journey through the Mini Gobi (Elsen Tasarkhai) sand dune, a striking landscape of sand dunes dotted with rare shrubs and small forest patches along a river. This remarkable area uniquely blends mountains, forests, steppes, and dunes all in one location. Experience the dunes on a camel ride, taking in the breathtaking scenery and exploring this one-of-a-kind ecosystem. Return to Ulaanbaatar.
